Mission Statement The mission of the Kettle Moraine Middle School Library is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. Facilities & Resources - Net Area equals approximately 4,148 sq. ft.
- Seating available = 74 chairs plus 32 computer workstations
- Computers are networked to a local area network and the District's wide-area network
- There are 32 Wintel student workstations available with Internet
via a high speed connection, 12 with scanners - 7 MacIntosh computers for multimedia production
- Collection is approximately 25,000 items
- The Media Center subscribes to 50 magazines & 5 newspapers
- E-Mail is available to students, staff and parents
- Web access to the Online Library Catalog
- Web access to Groliers Encyclopedias, Culture Grams, SIRS Discoverer, Hoovers, AP Multimedia Photos, Unitedstreaming Videos, BadgerLink Magazines and Newspapers.

Policies Loan Period for books is approximately 3 weeks. Students may have six items checked out at a time, unless extra materials are needed for a class project. Reference books may not be checked out. However, up to three pages can be photocopied. Fines There are no fines for overdue books. Students with more than two overdue books must return the overdue items before more items may be checked out. Students must pay the replacement cost for lost books. Scheduling The library has an open and flexible schedule. Teachers may sign up to bring whole classes to the library. Individual students or small groups may come to the Media Center, but a pass from a teacher is needed. Students may come to the Media Center to read, check e-mail, do research or work on homework. Rules Taking books without checking them out is considered stealing. This is a very serious offense and appropriate consequences will result. Before school or lunch passes To come to the Media Center during, students will need a pass. The library is open before school. Driving directions to KMMS (301 E Ottawa Ave, Dousman, WI) - Starting at the I-94 exit at HWY 67 go SOUTH approximately 5 miles. There are stop lights at the HWY 67 and HWY 18 intersection.
- Continue SOUTH on HWY 67 for approximatey 1 mile.
- Turn RIGHT on HWY Z which is OTTAWA AVE.
- Go one block. KMMS is on the left. We share a parking lot with Dousman Elementary.
