ALL ELEMENTARY EVENTS!!! Please note, the Dousman concert has moved to May. As part of our restructuring, we have been encouraging elementary families to attend events at any of our schools. Participating in events at other elementary schools will allow students and families to explore our campuses, make new friends and learn more about what the district has to offer. We have a number of fun events coming up! Our PTOs are also working together with district administration to coordinate additional events at each school. Together we can make this transition a positive one.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR DISTRICT SOLO & ENSEMBLE THIS WEEKEND!!! We need your help to make the 2026 District Solo & Ensemble Festival a success! KM is hosting the event this year on Saturday, March 14th at the High School. We need parents of middle school and high school music students to volunteer and donate items. It's through your generous support that we can host this prestigious event and provide the opportunity for our music students to participate.

POP UP THRIFT STORE!!! KM Global students are offering a Pop Up Thrift Store on April 25th from 9am-12pm at KMHS. Bins will be placed at the Main and Laser Entrances and we urge you to donate and shop to help us raise money for Lake Country Caring.

KMMS MUSICAL NEXT WEEKEND!!! Kettle Moraine Middle School presents Matilda Jr. on March 20 and 21 at 7pm and March 22 at 2pm at the Kettle Moraine Prism Arts Center. Matilda Jr. tells the story of a girl who dreams of a better life and inspires a bit of rebellion in the children that surround her. There will also be an art show by KMMS students in the auditorium lobby. Tickets can be purchased online https://cur8.com/26487/project/135127. Adults are $15, seniors and students are $10, and children 5 & under are free.

PERFORM AT WPL FILM FESTIVAL!!! We are excited to announce that the student short film Too Many Anikas won "Best in Teen" at the WPL Film Festival in Watertown last night. This is the 2nd year in a row that our Film Concentration team took home the award for one of their films. The Web was also selected for the festival. Congratulations to the cast and crew for both films!

FREE PRESCHOOL SCREENINGS THIS WEEK – DON'T MISS IT!!! March 13th from 9:00am-12:00pm at Dousman Elementary, KM will be holding a free preschool screening facilitated by the District's Early Childhood Team. Children participate in a variety of play-based activities to assess communication, gross and fine motor skills, social/ emotional development, and pre-academic skills. DISCOVER CUSHING NIGHT!!! Many new families joined us for Discover Cushing last night, an event largely led by our outstanding student volunteers. Students shared what they love most about their school and learning experiences, and even guided guests on campus tours to provide a true student perspective on life at Cushing. Staff members welcomed families into their classrooms to highlight the culture of our school and our approach to learning. We were also pleased to have staff from Wales Elementary—who will be joining the Cushing community next year—participating in the evening to help build connections with new families. If you missed this event, we have two more opportunities to learn about our school: Discover Cushing – April 13 at 5:00 PM and Discover Cushing 4K – May 6 from 5:00–6:00 PM. We hope you’ll join us to learn more about what makes our Cushing Stars shine!

MAGEE VIP NIGHT!!! VIP Night is an on-going tradition during the Magee Spring Book Fair. Students get to invite a very important person in their life to showcase their student work as well as the art work they created for our All School Art Show. This year the Art Show was Magee at Sea. Students showed their computer science projects, writing, art work, multi-age activities, and more. VIP Night also offers an opportunity for the students and their family to enjoy a light dinner and talk with their VIP as to why they are important to the student. A really fun, community gathering showcasing how amazing our students are and what they can do.

BEST BUDDIES TAKES THE PLEDGE!!! Kettle Moraine High School Best Buddies took the pledge to "spread the word to end the word". A global movement empowering youth and communities to stop derogatory language, stand up to bullying, and take meaningful inclusive action, one pledge at a time.

DECA SHINES AT CONFERENCE!!! Members of the Kettle Moraine High School DECA chapter joined more than 1,600 students from across Wisconsin at the annual association Career Development Conference, held February 22–26 at The Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva. Several students earned top honors at the state level: Malachi Beyerlein – Entrepreneurship Series, State Champion, Elizabeth Kolp – Quick Serve Restaurant Management, State Champion, Sawyer Vogds – Principles of Hospitality & Tourism, 4th Place, Georgia Boland & Ella DiPalma – Sports & Entertainment Team Decision Making, 4th Place, Mirabelle Derrig & Gianna Sanicola – Hospitality & Tourism Team Decision Making, 5th Place, Alyssa Nadolski – Principles of Entrepreneurship, 6th Place. These outstanding students will advance to international competition at the DECA International Career Development Conference, April 25–28, 2026, in Atlanta, Georgia. DECA’s competitive events align with national standards in marketing, business management, finance, and hospitality. More than 150 business professionals evaluated students through role-plays, case studies, and presentations, providing authentic, real-world feedback. “I couldn’t be more proud of this group,” said Jeff Ksobiech, DECA Advisor at KMHS. “They put in the work, they challenge themselves, and they truly support one another.” Congratulations to these future business leaders.

KM WRAP CARE FOR 2026-27 SCHOOL YEAR!!! Available On Site Child Care is available at each of our KM elementary schools through Wisconsin Youth Company. Registration for the 2026-2027 school year will open in mid-April. Families can join our email list from our website receive updates. This on-site before and after school care program is available from 6:30am to the start of school and after school from 12:15 until 6:00pm. Morning wrap around care (from 6:30am until 12:45pm) is also available for 4K students who attend the afternoon 4K section. MAGEE DOUSMAN FRIENDSHIP GAME NIGHT!!! March 11, 5:00pm to 6:00pm at Dousman Elementary's Frog Alley. Multiple stations with board games, card games and "bring your own" games will be provided to encourage connections with new KM families and friends. SIGN UP NOW FOR LASER SPORTS PERFORMANCE!!! KM Athletes who are passionate about their sports and fitness are encouraged to sign up for this course. Formerly Complete Fitness, this six-week class is geared toward student-athletes who are looking to continue development of mechanics necessary for all athletics. Participants can expect to work on their speed/agility, core strength, explosive power, and mental toughness. Student athletes who are passionate about their sports (any sports are welcome) and dedicated to becoming better athletes are the perfect fit for this program. Athletes of any ability level are welcome. Workouts will be tailored and individualized to meet the needs of all participants. Participants are required to dress appropriately and wear appropriate athletic shoes. Please register based on your 2025/26 grade level, Summer Academy is a continuation of the current school year.

SUMMER SCHOOL COURSE GUIDE IS ONLINE!!! Course registration opens at 8am on Monday March 16th. Students will be able to choose four courses per day (with the exception of Moving on to Kindergarten). To accommodate more families and staffing demands we will again run two separate sessions lasting six weeks total. Session one will run June 15-July 24 (no classes 7/3). Students can attend the full six weeks or one session only if preferred. Session two classes will be a repeat of content and activities from session one, unless noted in the course description. We encourage new students interested in "trying" KM and meeting friends to sign up for Summer Academy. Courses are available to open enrollment students too. Check out courses NOW at kmsd.edu/SA!
